Same Day & Last Minute

Same-day and last-minute catering in Brisbane

Something moved, someone forgot, or the headcount doubled overnight. It happens, and it is usually still fixable. Everything is made by hand in our own Fortitude Valley kitchen, so an order in by 4pm goes out the next day, and a genuinely urgent same-day request is worth a phone call.

How we work when the clock is against you

How we work when the clock is against you

The kitchen is ours, at 159 Knapp St in Fortitude Valley, so a late order is a question we can answer ourselves rather than pass along. That is usually what makes the difference on a short turnaround.

Doors open at 7.00am and pick-ups start from there. The closer your order sits to the 4pm cut-off, the tighter the window gets, which is why the earlier call always wins.

How late is too late?

Our standard cut-off is 4pm for next-day catering, placed online. Past that, or if you need food the same day, we will still take a look. How much we can do depends on the time of day and where in Brisbane you are, and the sooner you get in touch the better the odds. For a genuinely urgent same-day order, call (07) 3188 6012. Everything else is quicker to place online.

Where we deliver

We deliver to more than 50 suburbs across Brisbane, including the CBD, and Saturdays are the same rate as weekdays. Delivery starts at $19 on orders from $150. Enter your address at checkout and you will see whether your suburb is covered before you pay.

Picking it up instead

When the delivery window is tight, collection is often the quicker answer. The kitchen is at 159 Knapp St, Fortitude Valley 4006, open Monday to Saturday, 7.00am to 2.00pm, with pick-up from 7am.

Cakes are the exception

Cakes need two to three business days' notice. They are made to order and cannot be turned around the way a catering order can, so if a cake is part of the plan, that one has to be booked ahead.

Ordering well under pressure

  • Check dietary needs before you order. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free items are marked VGN, VEG, GF and DF on the product images.
  • Set the delivery address, date and time at checkout. Getting them right the first time is what keeps a rushed order on schedule.
  • If the timing is very tight, weigh up pick-up from Knapp St instead of delivery.
  • Have your serving utensils and tableware sorted at your end. It is the small detail most often forgotten in a hurry.

FAQ's

1. Can I order today for today?

Not through the website — the online cut-off is for next-day. If you need food today, call us on (07) 3188 6012 and we will tell you honestly what the kitchen can still do.

2. What is the latest I can order for tomorrow?

4pm. Order by 4pm and it is with you the next day, including the larger bundles. You pick the delivery date and time at checkout.

3. Is there a last-minute surcharge?

No. One day's notice is simply what we need, and the price is the same whether you order three weeks out or at 3.59pm the day before.

4. Is there anything that needs more notice?

Cakes, cupcakes and corporate logo cakes need two to three business days — they are decorated by hand. Everything on the catering menu runs on the one-day cut-off. Dietary icons sit right in the product names — VGN vegan, VEG vegetarian, GF gluten free, DF dairy free. Our kitchen also handles nuts, sesame, egg, dairy and seafood, so we cannot guarantee any item is free from traces. If someone has a serious allergy, call us on (07) 3188 6012 before you order — full allergy notice here.

5. How much notice do you need?

Order by 4pm and we'll have it there the next day, with no last-minute surcharge. You pick the date and time at checkout. Need it today? Call (07) 3188 6012.

6. Can I collect, or do you deliver?

Both. Pick up from 7am at 159 Knapp St, Fortitude Valley, or we deliver across 50+ Brisbane suburbs from $19 on orders of $150 or more, Saturdays at the same rate.
