Everything on the shelves is made in our own kitchen at 159 Knapp St — the same address you'd be working at.
That closeness matters on a shift. You know what came out of the oven that morning, so when someone asks, you can actually tell them. Early starts, an early finish, and coffee made properly all the way through to two o'clock.
The role
Barista and cafe all-rounder, front of house at our Fortitude Valley bakery. You'll be on the machine, on the counter and on the floor — it's one job, not three, and the mornings move. If you're a barista who wants to keep getting better at it, there's room here to grow.
What the day looks like
- Making coffee, consistently, right through the morning
- Serving customers, selling from the counter and answering questions about what's in the cabinet
- Stock checks, stock rotation and clean-up procedures
- Following food safety and workplace health and safety rules — that part isn't negotiable
What we're after
- Solid coffee skills and an understanding of the coffee-making process
- Clear communication and confident spoken English
- Someone who wants to talk to customers about the coffee, the menu and the brand
- A strong work ethic and the willingness to learn things you haven't done before
- Available for early starts, Saturdays and public holidays
Hours and where
The bakery is at 159 Knapp St, Fortitude Valley 4006, open Monday to Saturday, 7.00am to 2.00pm — so the day starts early and finishes early, and your afternoons stay yours. Tell us on the form whether you're after full time, part time or casual.
