Pretty sure sourdough bread is absolutely good for your health, we make our sourdough bread from the naturally occurring yeast and bacteria in flour. Sourdough also naturally lasts longer and holds its moisture better than other loaves of bread, since the whole fermentation thing kills off bad bacteria and prevents mold growth.
